Time to re-up my holiday mix from a few years ago. It features a few tracks from the Jimmy Smith 1964 “Christmas Cookin'” album as well as tracks by Hank Crawford, Bill Evans, J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding, as well as Kenny Burrell. I’m working on completing a Bob James live post, as well as I’ll have something to remember Esther Phillips. Finally over the holidays I’ll do a list of 2023 reissues etc.
It’s the anniversary of Hank Crawford’s born day on December 21st, so a double reason to celebrate. Here is to “Hank” and have a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever it is you celebrate.
