Most interesting of all was from Fitz Gilter, the son of legendary writer, historian and reviewer Ira Gilter [3]https://www.latimes.com/local/obituaries/la-me-ira-gitler-20190227-story.html.
I have to say that I’d never heard of the CTI/KUDU lighter until last week. I have no intention of becoming the “pimp my CTI website” – I’ll have a couple of other posts soon, and then it’s time for a break.
Fritz pointed out that his fathers CTI/KUDU lighter currently listed for sale on ebay – The lighter is a Maruman Halley DL-6 and should work if you add butane. It is listed for starting bids of $79.99 and has a make an offer option. The auction is set to close on Sunday 19th October, 2025. It is item number 116821259473.
